ARCHIVES AND DOCUMENTARY COLLECTIONS

Researchers can consult our extensive collections of archives and documents. Sportimonium’s collections include more than 50 archives of sporting people, clubs and associations, along with major collections of documentation on Belgium’s sporting history.

These include:

• KBC-Van Landeghem sports archive:
  an extensive collection of books, magazines and newspaper clippings about sports, with an emphasis on bicycle racing, football, swimming and the Olympic Games.
• Vervacke cycle racing archive: books, magazines and above all lots of photos of cycle racing.
• Personal archives of athletes and sports managers, including Victor Boin, Paul Anspach, Fernand de Montigny, Raoul Mollet, Gaston Roelants and more.
• The archives of the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committees.
