In 1974, the Victor Boin National Trophy was created in memory of Victor Boin, a talented omnisportsman, president of the Belgian Olympic Committee (BOIC) and co-founder and president of the Belgian Paralympic Committee.
The trophy honors a paralympic athlete for his or her accomplishments over the past year and/or for his or her career and role within the paralympic movement. The award is unique because it can only be won once in a career.
Did you know that our museum depot Preservation Hall Victor Boin was named after him?
Archive Point wrote a nice article about the archive Victor Boin. Read it.
